Telugu actor Kalyan Ram’s last film Bimbisar wreaked havoc at the box office after its release. Now, the power star of the cine industry is back with another powerful action thriller titled Amigos. Helmed by debutant filmmaker Rajender Reddy, produced under the banner Mythri Movie Makers, Amigos hits the theaters on 10 February.
However, despite all the buzz around the film, Amigos has received a mixed response from fans and critics. Made on a budget of around Rs 26 crore, the film earned Rs 2.58 crore domestically and the worldwide collections reached only Rs 4.65 crore.
As per the latest reports on box office collection, the film has earned Rs.71 lakh in Nizam region, Rs.23 lakh in Uttarakhand, Rs.18 lakh in East Godavari, Rs.10 lakh in West Godavari, Rs.31 lakh in Guntur, Rs. 13 lakhs and Rs.8 lakhs in Nellore. A total of Rs 2.03 crore has been recovered in Karnataka and rest of the Telugu speaking states. India 20 lakhs Rs.

The collections indicate that the film has a net worth business of Rs 11.30 crore, while the break-even point is Rs 12 crore. The collections are much lower than Kalyan Ram’s previous outing Bimbisar, which collected Rs 6.30 crore on Day 1. To reach a clean hit, Amigos needed a total of Rs 9.42 crore.
Amigos also stars debutant Aashika Ranganath as the female lead. Nithin Prasanna, Sapthagiri and Brahmaji also play titular roles in the Rajender Reddy directorial. Kalyan Ram plays a triple role in the film. Amigos revolves around three friends, Michael, Siddharth and Manjunath Hegde.
The three cross paths with each other and end up growing closer. Siddharth takes the help of Michael and Manjunath to win over Ishika aka Aashika Ranganath. However, everyone gets a sudden jolt when Michael’s secret plans are revealed, which changes the course of the entire film.
