Jammu and KashmirStrongly pushing for the protection of minorities in Kashmir, a prominent cleric said during Friday prayers in Anantnag that Islam does not allow jihad to oppress the minority community. Maulana Fayaz Amjadi was addressing a gathering at Jamia Masjid Anantnag. His call for protection of the minority community was strongly supported by the local people present in the mosque.

According to a video of the address, he said that he is ready to give his land but minorities in Jammu and Kashmir should be given security. Maulana Fayaz Amjadi said that “we condemn it” if any Muslim is committing atrocities or killing of minorities by mistaking it for Jihad. “If any Muslim is doing this thinking that it is jihad, we condemn this jihad. Islam does not allow jihad to oppress a minority or any other person or kill a person,” he said. Maulana Fayyaz Amjadi said that the atmosphere in Kashmir should not be spoiled. “Minorities should be taken care of. We urge the administration, we urge the government that we are here with the minority. We condemn those who attack the minorities. We request that the minorities in Kashmir be protected.” Be given. You need our land, but provide security to minorities. Just like you provide security to minorities here, do it to us across the country.” A clip of the video was also posted on social media.

Earlier this week, Rajni Bala, a 36-year-old Hindu female teacher from Jammu’s Samba district, was shot dead by terrorists at a government school in Gopalpora, Kulgam. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday held a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and other top officials on security in Jammu and Kashmir.
