Jammu and Kashmir: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said it busted a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist hideout in Rakh Momin area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. A police spokesperson said in a statement that on the intervening night of March 12 and 13, based on a specific input developed by Anantnag Police, a joint CASO with Army’s 1RR was launched in Rakh Momin Dangi area Bijbehara.
A LeT hideout was busted following a search of the area and a large cache of arms, ammunition and other munitions were recovered, the statement said. Recovery includes IED (05 Nos.), PTD with programmed timer device and RCIED, Detonator (06 Nos.), Pistol (03 Nos.), Pistol Magazine (05 Nos.), Ammunition (09 mm rounds = 124 Nos.), Remote Control (04 Nos. ) Are included. ) and battery (13 nos.).
“In this regard, Case FIR No. 58/2023 has been registered at PS Bijbehara under relevant sections of law and investigation is in motion,” it reads.
This is the third terror module busted by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir in the last 24 hours and a huge cache of arms and ammunition and narcotics have been recovered.
