Jammu and Kashmir: On Friday, a fire was reported in a temporary shed, about one km from the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine atop the Trikuta hills in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district, officials said. The fire was brought under control by the security personnel and the incident had no impact on the pilgrimage which was going on smoothly, he added.
Some laborers were staying in a temporary shed near the horse stand on their way to Bharvghati and some of their belongings caught fire at around 1.30 pm. Fire and emergency services, police, CRPF and Shrine Board personnel quickly doused the fire, he said.
