Jio plans: Reliance Jio introduces Rs 3,499 annual prepaid plan with 3GB data per day, here’s what’s new – Times of India

telecommunications service provider Reliance Jio Quietly launched a new annual plan of Rs 3,499. This plan gives users 3GB data daily for 365 days, which is a total of 1,095GB data per year. After consumption of FUP of daily data, the speed will be reduced to 64Kbps.
This is the first time an annual plan is offering 3GB data per day; As of now, there is no 3GB per day data prepaid plan with a validity of 365 days. Most prepaid plans from Airtel, Vodafone Idea and even Reliance Jio which offer 3GB data per day come with validity of 28, 56 or 84 days.
With the prepaid plan of Rs 3,499, users will also get 3GB of daily data, unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day. Some other additional user benefits are access to JioTV, JioCinema, JioCloud, JioSecurity and JioNews. There is no bonus data or any other free subscription services that come with the plan
Apart from the latest Rs 3,499 data prepaid plan, the other 3GB data per day plan offered by Reliance Jio has a validity of 84 days and costs Rs 999. The new, Rs 3,499 annual plan makes it the most expensive prepaid plan from the company.
How does Reliance Jio’s Rs 3,499 plan compare with Airtel and Vodafone Idea?
Compared to Jio’s annual plan, Airtel’s 365 days plan costs Rs 2,498 but offers 2GB data per day along with unlimited voice calls and 100SMS per day. Other benefits include Airtel Xstream Premium, Apollo 24|7 Circles, Free HelloTunes, One Free Wynk Music Rs.100 cashback on subscription, FASTag. Vodafone’s annual plan comes at Rs 2,595, which offers users 1.5GB data per day, unlimited calls, 100SMS per day, one-year VIP subscription to Disney+ Hotstar, etc. Vodafone customers can use night data from 12AM to 6AM without any deduction. Packed, for free. Unused data for weekdays will be carried over to the weekend as part of the weekend data rollover.
