Jharkhand: 39 school children were found to be Kovid positive in Dumka district, 4753 new cases in the state, eight patients died

On Thursday, 4,753 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Jharkhand, while eight people died due to infection. At the same time, 39 children have been found corona positive in seven schools of Dumka district of the state. An official gave this information.

While 34 children from four high schools of Jama block were found to be suffering from this disease, five other children of Jarmundi, Dumka and Shikaripada blocks were found to be corona positive.

Dumka Civil Surgeon, Bachha Prasad Singh said that three teachers of Jama block have also been found infected with Kovid-19. The age of the children found to be corona positive is between 6 to 18 years.

According to PTI, a bulletin issued by the Health Department said that 4,753 new cases were registered in Jharkhand on Thursday, which is 34 more than the previous day. After this the total number of infected has gone up to 3,91,526. The death toll has risen to 5,184 after eight more people died of the disease in the last 24 hours, the bulletin said.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, in a meeting on Kovid-19 management with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday, said that the state government has controlled the first-second wave of the epidemic to a great extent through better management along with strengthening the health sector infrastructure. and made necessary preparations for the third wave as well.

Soren said, “All necessary and concrete steps are being taken to control the third wave and because of these steps of the government, there is no panic in the state in the third wave.”

According to a release issued by the government, in the virtual meeting of the Chief Ministers on Kovid Management with the Prime Minister, Soren said that the way the number of Kovid patients is increasing, we need to be very cautious and careful. Appealing to the people to get vaccinated, the Chief Minister said, “Vaccine is the biggest weapon to deal with Kovid.”

The Chief Minister said that all such institutions and public places, including schools, colleges, gyms, parks, have been closed, from where the risk of spreading the infection is high. He said, “Jharkhand has faced some challenges in COVID-19 vaccination due to backwardness and complex geographical area. But, by making a better strategy and expediting the investigation, the work of vaccinating more and more people is going on at a fast pace.
