New Delhi: Adding yet another wedding to its list this season, Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel starrer action comedy Shotgun Wedding is about to give new meaning to the phrase ’till death do us part’. With some armed men on the guest list, indulge in an exotic wedding with sizzling chemistry between the hottest couple – Shotgun Wedding releasing on January 27, 2023 exclusively on Lionsgate Play.
Written by Mark Hammer, the film captures an extravagant destination wedding being hijacked by criminals on a tropical island, all in the midst of which the couple discover why they fell in love with each other in the first place.
Talking about the film’s script, Jennifer Lopez shared, “Our couple, Darcy and Tom have finally made it to the big day in their exotic destination wedding with all of their loved ones, and basically nothing to plan A lot of twists and turns and a lot of unexpected things happen, but that’s what makes the ride so much fun. I just loved the script. The way Tom and Darcy went back and forth, the dialogue had a There was wit and reality. And I was excited by the idea of doing a romantic action comedy, which is something I hadn’t done before.”
Adding to her character in the film, the Hollywood superstar said, “Darcy is an advocate who fights for other people, but when it comes to getting what she wants, she’s usually prepared to give in. All of them but she’s not really taking care of herself. She knows how to say no. I like the idea of flipping the gender roles—where instead of Bridezilla, you have Groomzilla. This is the woman who makes the commitment. Afraid and not sure about the real idea of marriage. Darcy is in love with Tom, but she’s not really sure it’s what she wants.
