Indian women’s team star Jemima Rodrigues has been lighting up The Hundred Women’s tournament in England with her batting prowess. The 20-year-old has been in impressive form with the Willows for his team Northern Superchargers and has so far scored 241 runs in five innings. Recently, the star batsman took some time out and tried his hand at commentary for the first time during the ongoing The Hundred tournament. It’s no surprise that Rodrigues not only made headlines but also impressed everyone with his antics.
Rodrigues opened the commentary during the match between Manchester Originals and London Spirit in the current tournament. He was accompanied by others like Mark Butcher and Nasser Hussain in the commentary box and he was seen enjoying every bit of it. After the game, she took to social media to express her delight about her amazing off-field experience with Mike.
“What a sensation! Thank you Skycricket for having me in the commentary box today. PS: Stay tuned, something exciting is about to happen,” she tweeted.
Meanwhile, India wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik, who is enjoying his commentary assignment in England, lauded Rodrigues for the same.
“Awesome. You were fantastic. Nice to see you follow the ‘only’ rule in the commentary box too,” tweeted Kartik.

Rodrigues thanked Karthik and asked him about the rule in the following tweet. “Thanks DK! But rules? What rules? Nobody told me there were rules?” He tweeted back.

“Never hear anything Nasser Hussain or Rob Key have to say ‘ONLYRULE’,” Karthik wrote in the following tweet.
The women’s batting star reacted quickly and trolled Kartik with her cheeky response.
Rodrigues refers to Karthik’s reply to the ‘only rule’ and says that he was informed about it by the butcher and Nasser as well.
Rob’s also joined the banter and trolled Kartik over his sartorial choices.
“She was knocking on your dress sense. Sold the house and put the curtains on his shirts. A great quote from Jemima Rodrigues,” Key added jokingly.
Karthik replied in his cheeky style, “He hasn’t even thought about it until you put that tweet here. Don’t shoot him in the shoulder.”
