JEE Main 2022: How To Continue Focused Preparation After Many Delays?

JEE Main 2022: The postponement of JEE Main 2022 has created a mix of emotions among IIT-JEE aspirants. Both the exams, which were earlier held in the months of April and May, have now been postponed by almost two months. While it comes as a boon for some candidates, many others are treating it as a curse. Students who are appearing in 12th board from CBSE this year must consider it as a plus. They now have enough time to focus on JEE Main and Board exams separately.

There are some strategies that IIT-JEE aspirants must adopt to make the most of this extra time.

Now that we have the new dates, students need to revise their entire revision and mock test schedule. Your study plan should be such that you can go through the entire JEE syllabus once again in the next few months.

Ideally, a student should attempt at least two mock tests, i.e. National Level Computer-Based Test (CBT) every week on JEE Main pattern in the time slot in which the actual paper is to be conducted.

performance analysis system

While a lot of students keep attempting mock papers, only a few of them actually spend time analyzing their mistakes. Mistake analysis is as important as solving mock papers. You must keep a constant watch on your mistakes as well as your score. Your goal should be to reduce errors and increase your score in the mock test.

timetable that can be followed

Your ideal timetable should be such that your body clock should be in sync with the exam time. Another important aspect is how many hours you will put in each day.

While there is no standard duration in terms of the number of hours for your study, we can still consider a study duration of 6 to 8 hours as optimal. Along with all these students should work towards reducing their stress.

relieve stress

While we are in the midst of this situation, it is imperative for the students to remain calm and restrained. We all know that exams put some degree of stress on a student’s mind. To overcome this stress, the student should be involved in some kind of physical activity. It can be anything from playing badminton to doing yoga. A calm and healthy mind will give better results in the examination.

Above all, it is important that students stay focused and motivated as the exam approaches. They should keep on remembering their past achievements to keep themselves motivated. Watching some motivational videos can also be very helpful. In the last 48 hours, before the exam, the study hours should be kept to a minimum. This is the time when they should relax themselves; Instead of cutting out food, one should eat home-cooked food, which should contain plenty of fluids.

For high level exams like JEE, every candidate has to put in a lot of effort, purely because of its competitiveness. So you must keep your cool and give your best on the exam day.
