Five jawans, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were martyred in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Monday.
Defense Ministry spokesman Lt Col Devendra Anand said, “Five soldiers, including the JCO, who was seriously injured in the encounter with the terrorists, were rushed to a nearby medical facility, but they succumbed to the injuries.”
