Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi has released its prospectus for admission for the academic session 2022-23. Application forms for admission will be available online from April 14 at www.jmicoe.in, www.jmi.ac.in. According to the official notice, the applications will be accepted till May 12. The university will admit students through national level entrance examinations.
Admission to Engineering, Architecture and Dentistry programs will be on the basis of JEE, NATA and NEET respectively. The students are admitted to some other undergraduate courses of the university through the newly introduced CUET. Admission to the rest of the courses will be done through Jamia’s entrance exam which will be held on June 2.
Admission of eligible candidates to all the programs offered by various faculties and centers of Jamia Millia Islamia will be done through prescribed qualification on the basis of entrance test conducted by JMI except B.Tech, BAR, BDS and courses.
Candidates securing less than 30% marks in the descriptive part of the entrance test will not be shortlisted for interview and admission. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in objective type/ multiple choice questions in all programs of the University. Candidates securing less than 15% marks in Objective Type/Multiple Choice Questions will not be shortlisted for Interview/Admission.
Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 700, however, for BTech and BArch courses the fee will be Rs 550. Application fee successfully received at the end of JMI is non-refundable as per rules.
“There is no guarantee of hostel accommodation as the university has limited residential facilities for the students. The students residing in the University Hostel have to strictly follow the hostel rules i.e. daily closing time etc. to enter the hostel. Failure to comply with the rules will result in cancellation of allotment of students from the hostel. official notice.
