A 20-year-old woman travelling from Kanpur to Jaipur was allegedly gangraped by two bus drivers on a private moving bus in Jaipur on the intervening night of December 9 and 10.
The incident came to light after a week on Friday and one of the accused was arrested. Police said the survivor stated in her complaint that on December 9 she boarded a bus from Uttar-Pradesh Kanpur to Jaipur.

When she was sleeping in the cabin of the bus, accused bus driver Arif and Lalit allegedly barged into her cabin and gangraped her after locking the cabin from inside.
Police said when the survivor raised an alarm for help and shouted, other passengers who were boarded on the bus came to know about the incident and rescued her.
According to the police, passengers nabbed Arif while Lalit managed to escape the spot. Subsequently, the incident was reported to the police and a case was registered at Kanota police station in Jaipur. Further investigations are underway in the case.
