Jacqueline Fernandez skips ED’s questioning as a witness in money laundering case

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who was summoned to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on Saturday, missed the questioning. While the reason behind this development is yet to be ascertained, it is also not clear whether the questioning of the actress has now been postponed. Last month, Jacqueline was questioned by the ED as a witness in the money laundering case against accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar for five hours. According to reports, the case in which Jacqueline was questioned involves an alleged multi-crore extortion racket run by Chandrashekhar. He also alleged in the bribery case related to the Election Commission.

According to reports, on August 24, the probe agency had said that it had seized a sea-facing bungalow in Chennai, Rs 82.5 lakh in cash and over a dozen luxurious cars in the money laundering case against Chandrashekhar. Earlier, an ED official quoted by the news agency said, “She is facing money laundering charges and that is why she is being questioned as a witness in the ongoing case.”

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez made her debut in 2009 Amitabh Bachchan starrer Aladdin. She was crowned Miss Universe Sri Lanka in 2006, and represented her country at the Miss Universe pageant in 2006. He was last seen in Pawan Kriplani’s Bhoot Police alongside Saif Ali Khan, Yami Gautam and Arjun Kapoor.
