Jacqueline Fernandez has extended her support to her motherland Sri Lanka amid the country’s economic and political crisis.
Jacqueline Fernandez extended her ’empathy and support’ for her homeland Sri Lanka as the country grapples with a severe economic crisis. The country is facing the worst economic crisis since its independence and which has left the country on the verge of bankruptcy. With rising prices, shortages of essential commodities and power cuts, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has declared a nationwide public emergency.
Amidst the difficult times, Jacqueline took to social media and wrote a note sharing her views on the situation in the country. Sharing a picture of the country’s flag, he wrote, ‘As a Sri Lankan it is heartbreaking to see what my country and countrymen are doing.
“Ever since it started from around the world, I’ve been flooded with so many opinions. I would say, don’t be too hasty to judge and defame any group based on what’s shown. The world and my people He doesn’t need second judgment, he needs sympathy and support. A 2-minute silent prayer for his strength and well being will bring you much closer to him than a comment based on loose understanding of the situation,” she said.
“For the sake of my country and countrymen, I am hoping that this situation will soon end and end peacefully and through the benefit of the people. Prayers of immense strength to those dealing with this. Peace to all!” Jacqueline concludes the post.
As reported by PTI, the President fired Finance Minister Tulsi Rajapaksa and invited opposition parties to join the Unity Cabinet to deal with the public’s anger against the difficulties arising out of the economic crisis. Meanwhile, Jacqueline was last seen in Akshay Kumar’s Bachchan Pandey and John Abraham’s Attack. Some of his films are being made, including Ranveer Singh’s Circus and Akshay Kumar’s Ram Setu.
