Kartik Aaryan is currently busy promoting “Freddy”, which is set to release this Friday on the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar. in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, the actor talks about the mega year he has had with the success of his horror comedy film “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2”. He also talked about his experience and how he is approaching his next set of films.
Karthik also narrated his first meeting with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The actor had met King Khan at an event earlier this year.
He said, “I had gone to Mannat and one Sunday he got out of the car. We were a little teary-eyed – it was the first time I had come to Bombay. I was very happy that he had seen me.
Meanwhile, the movie “Freddy” is about Dr. Freddy Ginwala and his journey to Kainaz. The character, Dr Freddy is a dentist by profession and has a painful past. Also, he is a socially awkward person who loves to play with his miniature planes and only knows his pet turtle, Hardy.
In the film, played by Alaya F, Kainaz is a married woman who has an abusive husband but falls in love with Freddy. He comes up with an unusual way to marry Kainaz, but takes a turn, which turns his life upside down and causes a chaos of emotions. It has an intriguing plot full of twists and turns which will leave the viewers surprised.
The film will premiere on December 2 on Disney+ Hotstar. It is directed by Shashank Ghosh.
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan was last seen in the horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 alongside Tabu and Kiara Advani. The film was directed by Anees Bazmee. Apart from Freddy, he has many other projects lined up. Kartik will next be seen in Shehzada alongside Kriti Sanon, Satyaprem Ki Katha Kiara Advani and Hansal Mehta’s Captain India.
