The Alipore Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thundershowers in the next 24 hours in the districts of South Bengal but there is no possibility of heavy rain in any district. Alipore forecast that the amount of rain in Kolkata may be less as compared to the last few days. Today the maximum temperature in Kolkata will be around 32 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 28 degree Celsius. In the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature in Kolkata was 31.2 degrees Celsius, which is 1 degree below normal. In the last 24 hours, the minimum day temperature in Kolkata was 26.5 Celsius, which is two notches above normal.
Meanwhile, according to the forecast of Alipore, rain may increase in North Bengal from Monday. The Alipore Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in North Bengal on Tuesday. There is a possibility of scattered heavy rains in Darjeeling, Kalimpong and Jalpaiguri in North Bengal in the next 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rain in five north Bengal districts of Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Kochbehar, Alipurduar and Kalimpong from Monday.
