ISRO espionage case: Court asks CBI to submit report of Jain panel Thiruvananthapuram News – Times of India

Thiruvananthapuram: The district court here has directed CBI to produce Justice DK Jain Committee Report and complete case diary related to controversial ISRO spy case. The court gave this direction while hearing the anticipatory bail petition of the former DGP. Siby Mathews, who is accused as an accused in the CBI case relating to the alleged conspiracy which led to the wrongful arrest of the scientist Nambi Narayanan. CBI agreed to submit the report of Justice DK Jain Committee in a sealed cover.
Meanwhile, DGP Sibi Mathews told the court that the police arrested Narayanan based on the directions of the Intelligence Bureau (IB) and Research and Analysis Wing (RAW). He stood by his statement that there was no conspiracy behind the case.
Mathews’ counsel told the court that the final report submitted by the CBI in 1996 was to be thrown in the dustbin. However, he accepted the latest probe by the same agency and said that the truth behind the case will come out if a proper investigation is done.
The court will hear the CBI’s arguments in the case on Friday. news network
