IPL 2024: Delhi Capitals Rope in Gulbadin Naib as Mitchell Marsh Replacement – News18

Indian Premier League side Delhi Capitals have signed Afghanistan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib as a replacement for the injured Australian Mitchell Marsh for the remainder of the 2024 edition of the cash-rich T20 franchise league.

The Afghan all-rounder, who has represented Afghanistan in 82 ODIs and 65 T20Is, penned the contract with the capital city side for his reserve price of INR 50 lakhs.

Naib, a right-handed batter and a medium pacer, will look to remedy the loss of Marsh, a crucial player for the Capitals due to his ability to contribute to the game with the willow and the leather.

The side from the national capitals are placed sixth in the table with 8 points from 9 games, thanks to their four winning outings this season and are very much in contention for a playoff spot.
