Naveen-ul-Haq was heavily trolled on Twitter after LSG lost their IPL 2023 Eliminator match to MI in Chennai on Wednesday

Lucknow Supergiants lost in the eliminator match of the ongoing second season on Wednesday. The Krunal Pandya-led Lucknow were defeated by a clinical Mumbai Indians side in a high-stakes match.

After the humiliating 81-run defeat, users on social media started trolling Lucknow pacer Naveen-ul-Haq by calling him a ‘mango’.

However, LSG took all the trolling in good humor and shared a hilarious screenshot of their Twitter handle, which showed that the franchise has muted keywords like mango, mango, sweet and so on. Common So that they don’t have to see memes related to fruits.

Lucknow’s tweet has proved to be an instant hit with 1.5 million views so far.

Responding to the post, fans praised his performance in the tournament, hoping for a stronger comeback next year.

Taking a dig at RCB, a fan wrote, “Come back stronger next year at least you showed Harkb the level they don’t even deserve.”

Another fan tweeted, “Well played LSG. Bad luck but played really well throughout the tournament.”

“Honestly with you guys on this. He is now being bullied for no apparent reason. Teams should not be involved in this,” read a tweet.

Earlier in the tournament, Naveen-ul-Haq took an apparent jibe at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman Virat Kohli after he was dismissed for 1 in Game 54 of the IPL.

The Afghan pacer had posted a picture of a mango on his Instagram stories with the caption, “Sweet mangoes.” In the photo, scenes from the RCB match are visible on the TV screen in the background.

Naveen-ul-Haq has been at the receiving end of trolling from Kohli fans since then. Something similar happened on Wednesday after Lucknow’s exit from the IPL.

Looks like the players are also enjoying the whole mango saga. After the match on Wednesday, Sandeep Warrier of Mumbai Indians shared an amusing Instagram post along with Kumar Karthikeya and Vishnu Vinod. The post showed three players sitting together at a table with three mangoes in the centre.

Warrior later deleted the viral post.

Coming to the on-field action, Mumbai skipper Rohit Sharma will be happy with his team’s performance against Lucknow. The five-time champions are suddenly looking unstoppable and will put up a tough fight against Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2.
