Ready to Mankad Ashwin Dhawan 😁 – Rockstar MK (@RockstarMK11) April 5, 2023
The rules are simple: During the delivery, the batsman is backing up to take advantage. The bowler, in his delivery stride, dislodges the bails by rattling them without prior warning. The custodians of the Laws of Cricket (MCC) have confirmed that it is under the Laws of the Game for a non-striker to be run out while backing up. In fact, the new MCC laws have moved the run out of the non-striker (Mankad) from Rule 41 – Unfair Play to Rule 38 – Run Out.
