Gujarat Titans batsman Rahul Teotia snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Punjab Kings in a thrilling IPL 2022 match with the help of two sixes off Odeon Smith here on Friday. 12 runs needed off the last two balls, Tewatia smashed two sixes to help Titans win by six wickets at the Brabourne Stadium here.

Tewatia and David Miller scored 21 off nine balls to make 18 off the final five balls when Miller scrambled for a single, giving Tewatia the incredible job of hitting two sixes off the last two balls of the match and winning it. For Gujarat Titans successfully chasing the target of 190.
The 28-year-old veteran campaigner, who has played for Kings XI Punjab, Punjab Kings in previous incarnations, and Delhi Capitals in the IPL, brilliantly caught Smith over deep mid-wicket, with the fielder almost caught . Falling over the rope, and then sweeping the final delivery over the long-on boundary, seals a memorable win for Gujarat Titans.
Meanwhile, after the match, the 28-year-old praised David Miller for keeping him on strike. He tweeted, “Thanks for the single Mil Pa.”
“Looks amazing. There was nothing to think about! Just go out there and hit sixes, that’s what me and David (Miller) were thinking. I planned against Smith… the last ball was in the middle of the bat, and I Knew it was a six. The first ball he bowled was wide outside off, and so I thought the last ball was going to come there too. The staff is really cold here. They just tell us to work harder ,” Tewatia said after the game.
