“It is exciting to be back in the franchise which played a big part in the beginning of my IPL career. There are some familiar faces around and some new faces around, so I’m excited to be involved.”

When asked about his views on Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant, Warner said, “I want to learn from Rishabh to play one-handed shots. He is a young player learning the ropes of leadership and has been an integral part of the Indian team as well. I am excited and can’t wait to bat with him in the middle.”

Speaking about Delhi Capitals’ next match against Lucknow Super Giants, the opener said, “We just need to put our best foot forward and play a full game. Fielding is the biggest component of the game and if we can hold our catches and fielding well, we can go a long way in this tournament.”
