Instagram, owned by Meta (formerly Facebook), is making changes to one of its most common features, Instagram Stories. Instagram Stories are hard to miss on the app and are probably the most used feature after the platform’s basic post and photo-sharing capabilities. The photo-sharing platform is working on increasing the maximum length of stories to 60 seconds to strengthen competition with rivals like Snapchat and TikTok. The development was first reported by 9to5Mac citing an Instagram user in Turkey, who showed that the app is now notifying some users about the change.

in present, Instagram Stories Clips are limited to 15 seconds per story. If you record longer than 15 seconds, it will be automatically split into separate stories. This new change will allow instagram Users will be able to put up to 60 minutes of video in a single instagram story without dividing them. “Discover longer stories. Videos up to 60 seconds will no longer be fragmented,” the Instagram notification was quoted as saying.

The 9to5Mac report also states that the Meta-owned app is also testing a new interface for posting Stories that would make it easier to mention other accounts or add locations to a post.

instagram recently launched ability to make Answer Based on people’s comments. The new feature will allow creators to post reels based on the comments people have made on previous reels. Comments on their posts in these reels will appear in the form of stickers which can be customized by the user. This feature is similar to the video reply feature of Tiktok which serves the same purpose. This feature is currently limited to comments on the reels. Users may not create reels based on comments on their own photos or other videos or comments on other people’s reels.
