There is a discussion on creating a formula for peace between Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Congress MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu. Amid speculation that Sidhu would play a bigger role in reforming the Congress unit in Punjab, state party in-charge Harish Rawat said both the chief minister and the Amritsar East MLA would have to work together and a formula was being worked out.
Navjot Singh Sidhu and Amarinder Singh have been face-to-face with each other and have even made public statements against each other, prompting the party to set up a three-member panel headed by Mallikarjun Kharge to quell factionalism .
Meanwhile, due to heavy rains in Mumbai, roads were flooded, train and bus services in the city were disrupted. The Meteorological Department has said that moderate rains will continue over the city and suburbs of Mumbai, while heavy rains are likely at isolated places.
