Inside Ali Fazal’s Journey to Mecca and Then Medina

Ali Fazal visited the holy shrines of Mecca and Medin. The actor is currently busy shooting for his upcoming Hollywood action film Kandahar in Saudi Arabia.

The actor shared a clip of his journey on Instagram. Ali dedicated this journey to his ‘Amma’ and ‘Nana’, saying that he would probably never recover from their loss. He added in the long caption that seeking rather than healing is the key to all answers. He said he prayed for friends, family and those who are in need of love and that he still has more love to give. He also claimed to have chosen a suitable song for the clip which plays with Rahimun Alimun in the background.

A part of this caption reads, “O Medina and then Mecca. What a way to end my shoot. I am truly blessed I think in many ways. I like to think less. It was for Amma and Nana. His loss will never heal me.. probably not the answer to treatment. Looking for we’ll find out. But I prayed and prayed for everyone around me. Family, friends and everyone who needs love.”

This post of his has got more than two lakh likes and comments from many people including his girlfriend Richa. “Very beautiful. So glad you got to go. Blessed be Ali, you are God’s child and thank you for the prayers. Needed a lot of healing,” she commented on the post.

Kandahar is Ali’s fourth Hollywood film. Prior to this, he had worked with veteran actors like Vin Diesel, Judi Dench and Gal Gadot in Furious 7, Victoria and Abdul and Death on the Nile respectively. The action-thriller, Kandahar, also starring Gerard Butler, is directed by Rick Roman Waugh, best known for his work in Greenland, Phelan and Angel Has Fallen, among other projects. Former military intelligence officer Michel Lafortune co-wrote the screenplay, which is based on his own experiences at the Defense Intelligence Agency in Afghanistan.
