Those born on or before January 1, 2008, can apply online for NID services. When they turn 18, they will automatically be registered as a voter, said the Director (Operations) of the NID Wing. If you apply online, you do not need to fill a new form. You will be verified and registered with your fingerprint. Once you register, you will get the NID number.”

The National Identity Registration Act does not specify the age limit for getting NID, they will get NID only after registration.
