India’s largest domestic air carrier IndiGo is on a rapid international expansion, aiming to become one of the largest international airlines in India. Following that, IndiGo has announced Kenya’s capital Nairobi as its 27th international and 105th overall destination in the 6E network. The airline opened bookings for daily non-stop flights between India’s financial capital Mumbai and Kenya’s largest city Nairobi from August 5, 2023. This new route marks IndiGo’s entry into the African subcontinent and brings a host of benefits for both business and leisure travelers.
IndiGo’s first flight 6E 1853 will depart Mumbai at 06:10 am on 05 Aug 2023 and reach Nairobi at 09:40 am. The return flight 6E 1854 from Nairobi will take off at 10:40 hrs and reach Mumbai at 19:25 hrs. Regular flight operations will commence from Mumbai at 02.10 hrs on 6th August, 2023 and reach Nairobi at 5.40 hrs. The flight will return from Nairobi at 6.40 pm and reach Mumbai at 15.25 pm.
Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, is known for the rich heritage it offers as well as some of the best safaris Africa has to offer. Travelers can explore attractions such as the Karen Blixen Museum, or have up-close encounters with graceful giraffes at the Giraffe Center.
