Tokyo: The Indian shooting team arrived in Tokyo on Saturday for the upcoming Olympic Games starting July 23.
The samples of the shooting crew have been collected for the COVID-19 test and they are all awaiting the result.
On Friday, the Indian shooting contingent for Tokyo 2020 arrived in Amsterdam from its Zagreb base in Croatia. Saurabh Chaudhary, Abhishek Verma, Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, and Anjum Moudgil form the core of India’s shooting squad.
Indian team had an incredible medal winning performance ISSF World Cup in New Delhi and Croatia. Croatia had a lower number of medals than New Delhi due to low representation. In New Delhi, 52 shooters competed, while in Croatia only 14 Indian shooters were in the fray.

Meanwhile, the Indian Archery team led by Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das has left for Tokyo to participate in the Olympic Games.
