CHENNAI: Indian Bank observed a month-long Anna Sewa Abhiyaan, a CSR initiative, during August under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign of the Union government.
As part of the initiative, the team undertook community service in old age homes, cancer patients’ shelter houses, Divyang Jan homes for the destitute and orphanages by serving them food and providing the necessary help and support, a statement here said.
The bank reached out to 29 NGOs/ shelter homes in the month and served around 3,000 needy people, it added.
