Raipur is set to become the newest international cricket venue India After being allotted the second match of the India vs New Zealand ODI series to be played in January next year. The BCCI on Thursday confirmed the schedule of New Zealand’s limited-overs tour of India during which both the teams will play six limited-overs matches including three ODIs and as many T20Is.
The tour will begin with the first ODI to be played in Hyderabad on January 18 with Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International of Raipur. Cricket The stadium will then host its first international match on 21 January. The third match will be played in Indore.
After this, the focus will be on the T20 series starting January 27 in Ranchi, which also includes Lucknow and Ahmedabad.

The New Zealand matches will be sandwiched between the tour of Sri Lanka and Australia, which will kick-start India’s international home season in January.
The season begins with Sri Lanka arriving for three T20 Internationals and as many ODIs, starting on 3 January, before the New Zealand matches. After playing 12 limited-overs matches in a span of a month, the Indian team will have an eight-day break before the action shifts to the four-match Test series against Australia, starting February 9 in Nagpur.
Delhi, Dharamsala and Ahmedabad will host the second, third and fourth Tests respectively before the second and final leg of the tour, during which the two rivals will play a three-match ODI series from March 17 to March 22.
