Strongly criticizing Pakistan’s current federal coalition government, former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that “American slaves” raised the prices of petroleum products, while India bought cheaper oil from Russia and lowered the prices.

“This shows that India is free but we (Pakistanis) are slaves,” the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president said while addressing a workers’ conference in Charsadda’s Shekhabad on Sunday.

Imran Khan praises India

He lauded India for following an independent foreign policy, saying it imported crude from Russia despite US sanctions.

“Our government signed an agreement with Russia to buy oil at 30 percent concessional rates. Our government was ousted as part of a conspiracy,” he said.

Khan said an independent foreign policy is essential for Pakistan’s rapid progress.

He warned that the country would not forgive Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Home Minister Rana Sanaullah and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz for torturing peaceful protesters of his party and raiding their homes.

The PTI chief reiterated that all of them would be arrested and sent behind bars soon.

Asking the youth to get ready for another long march, Khan said his party would soon start marching towards Islamabad to topple the “imported government”.

He warned that his party workers would “snatch” his rights if he was denied it through peaceful means.
