“Industry, research institutes, relevant ministries, consumers, among others, are contributing significantly to the Montreal Protocol’s phasing out program of ozone depleting substances in India,” Choubey said.
Referring to the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, which was recently ratified by India, the Minister said issues related to reducing industrial obsolescence and adverse economic impacts should be addressed while developing a hydrofluorocarbon phase-down strategy to implement it. should be addressed appropriately.
