NEW DELHI: The home ministry announced that all Afghan nationals should travel to India on emergency-visa only. The ministry said that in view of the prevailing security situation AfghanistanE-Visa facility was being introduced.
The ministry also said that visas of Afghan nationals who are not currently in India or who have lost their visas become invalid with immediate effect. The Ministry of Home Affairs said that those wishing to travel from Afghanistan can apply for e-visa at www.indianvisaonline.gov.in.
The exodus of the Afghans started after Taliban country takeover. Various countries including India are helping to evacuate Afghan citizens.
