India draw in Group D of FIFA Nations Cup 2022

India has been included in Group D of the FIFA Nations Cup 2022, which is scheduled to be held in Copenhagen, Denmark later this year.

With the draw of the FIFA Final held in Zurich, Switzerland on Monday, 4 July 2022, India, who were in Pot 4, were the last team to be drawn, and were therefore placed in Group D.

Joining eTiger in Group D are the Netherlands, Poland, Italy, Mexico and Morocco.

The FIFA Nations Series began at the domestic level, with each country selecting their most skilled players through a domestic tournament-like selection process to compete in the FIFA Nations Online Qualifiers, where they went face-to-face in the hopes of securing one. 24 spots in the FIFA Nations Cup.

Nations around the world were divided into five regions: South America, North and Central America, Asia and Oceania, the Middle East and Africa, and Europe. Nations competed in their respective region’s FIFA Nations Online Qualifiers, starting with the group stage, progressing to the knockout stage.

Each country chose three players after the qualification tournament to represent their country in a 1v1 format, with one game played on PlayStation, and one on Xbox. Each region had a dedicated number of spots to qualify for the FIFA Nations Cup. Eligible nations from each region join host country Denmark in Copenhagen in August.
