Umran now holds the record for the fastest delivery by an Indian in T20Is, IPL and ODIs.

Umran Malik once again scaled a new high on the speedometer as he clocked 156 kmph in the first ODI against Sri Lanka at Barsapara. Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. The Jammu and Kashmir pacer created history by becoming the fastest bowler by an Indian in international cricket as he bettered his own record. Earlier in the first T20 against Sri Lanka, Umran dismissed Dasun Shanaka at a speed of 155 kmph.

It was the fourth delivery of the 14th over when Umran delivered a 156 kmph delivery to Charith Aslanka. Meanwhile, it was a 145 kmph delivery that helped him pick up the wicket on the last ball of the same over, when he dismissed Aslanka for 23.

The Indian team has decided to give Umran a long run in limited overs cricket as they look to take advantage of him being a fast bowler in future mega ICC tournaments.

Earlier, Virat Kohli was again at his best, scoring his 45th ODI hundred and second consecutive hundred in the format, while skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill scored half-centuries. India Huge score of 373/7 against Sri Lanka.
