KL Rahul scored a fighting century but Shakib Al Hasan and Ebadot Hossain were all over India to restrict them to a below-par score of 186 runs. Indian batsmen failed to challenge against Bangladesh bowlers as Shakib and Ebadot shared 9 wickets between them. Shakib took advantage of the conditions of his favorite ground to score a fifty. Rahul scored 73 runs in 70 balls while batting at number 5.
Bangladesh captain Liton Das won the toss and decided to field first. Das said he expected the pitch to be sticky in the first 10 overs and hence decided to bowl.
