Gill once again demonstrated his class with a brilliant Test century and proved why he is touted as the next big thing in Indian cricket. Kohli struggled to score big in the first three Tests where conditions were not ideal for the batsmen but on Saturday he took advantage of the favorable conditions to hit his 29th Test century. The batting maestro looked in complete control of his innings and has faced 128 balls so far, hitting 5 fours.
However, at the moment it seems difficult for both the teams to get a result in their favor from here as the match is heading towards a draw and the script can change only with the special efforts of the bowlers.
Earlier, Gill and Rohit resumed the Indian innings on the third day and propelled it but the Indian skipper failed to convert a good start into a big score and was dismissed for 35. His wicket came out.
While the charismatic Cheteshwar Pujara shared an important 113-run partnership for the second wicket with Shubman Gill on the third day. Pujara played a blistering knock of 42 off 121 balls, which was studded with three fours.
