NEW DELHI: The easterly winds have made the conditions favorable for the progress of southwest monsoon and is likely to cover parts of North India including Delhi, Haryana and Punjab, in a day, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Saturday.
The IMD said that the low level easterly winds from the Bay of Bengal have moved north-westwards, reaching Delhi, Haryana and East. Rajasthan Rajasthan as Saturday.
The low level relative humidity has also increased in this region.
“Therefore, conditions remain favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and some more parts of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan during next 24 hours,” the IMD said.
Conditions are also becoming favorable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of the country during the next 48 hours.
