IMD has predicted extremely heavy rains in many states during the next few days

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted extremely heavy rainfall over Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on Monday. The Meteorological Department has also issued a red alert for many areas of these states. Meanwhile, according to the Met Office, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Interior Karnataka on Monday.

“Extremely heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places over Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh and Coastal Karnataka; Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, West Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Interior Karnataka and Kerala and Mahe and isolated over Punjab, West North It rained heavily at places. Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Tamil Nadu,” IMD said in the latest weather bulletin.

Apart from this, scattered rain or lightning is very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan during the next five days. During the same period, scattered rainfall has been predicted over Uttar Pradesh.

IMD’s rain forecast:

– Widespread/extensive rain and thundershower with isolated heavy falls over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat State, Kerala and Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana and Karnataka during next 4-5 days. There is a possibility of lightning. ,

– During the next 5 days, isolated/scattered/scattered rain activity with isolated thunderstorms/lightning over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan and isolated/scattered over Uttar Pradesh.

Isolated/scattered rain activity very likely over Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during next 5 days, with heavy rain very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on 10th July, 2022.

– Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall likely over Jammu & Kashmir on 10th and 11th with widespread to widespread rain and isolated thunderstorm/lightning during next 5 days; Himachal Pradesh during 10-13th and Uttarakhand during 10-14th July, 2022.

Isolated/scattered rain activity very likely over Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during next 5 days, with heavy rain very likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal on 10th July, 2022.
