“You can’t get motivated by any motivational video. Any thing, any incident that stings you will motivate you so much that you will achieve anything.” These words belong to IAS Divyanshu Patel. Divyanshu is currently the Special Secretary in the Food and Drug Administration Department. Before this, he was posted in Unnao and before that in Barabanki. From studies to job, there are many incidents in his life which are funny. are challenging. Some are inspirational and some are so controversial that even today they do not leave the chase.

To know these stories, we went to Divyanshu ji. Everything to go Even that incident when the wife was alone at home and 250 people attacked the house. Let’s know the whole things from the beginning.

Divyanshu studied in the same school as his mother’s teacher
Divyanshu Patel was born in Ajaipur village of Ambedkar Nagar. At that time father AP Verma was a clerk in the post office and mother Neena Verma was the head master in the primary school. Instead of getting Divyanshu admitted in a private school, the mother got him admitted in her own school.

Divyanshu would go to school with his mother and study there. When he grew up a little, friendship with people increased. Guru Madhavraj Dwivedi’s son Sitanshudhar Dwivedi used to study in Delhi at that time. When he would come, he would tell Divyanshu about the atmosphere there. On the other hand, father also says that he has to go in civil. In this way, it was decided in childhood itself that I have to go in civil.

After studying in Balrampur till 10th standard, he came to Faizabad (now Ayodhya) to study intermediate. Instead of Mathematics or Biology, he chose Arts and completed his studies. Then returned to Balrampur and did BA. After this he did B.Ed and M.D from Delhi University. After this reached JNU to do MPhil.

When Guru asked for Guru Dakshina, he promised to become an IAS.
Divyanshu recounts two anecdotes from his preparation days that inspired him the most to become an IAS. He says that I did my entire studies in Hindi medium. English has never been better. When I reached JNU, I told Professor Vivek Kumar that I will write the paper in Hindi because my English is not good. Then he said, “What a cowardly thing this is. Today you will be afraid of English, tomorrow you will be afraid of something else.” Divyanshu says that from that day I paid special attention to English and then wrote the UPSC paper in English.

He says that one such day I had gone to Vivek sir’s house to get his project signed. Then Sir said that I will sign but how will you give me Guru Dakshina? On this question of his, it came out of my mouth with a bang that Sir will give you Guru Dakshina only after becoming an IAS. On this Vivek sir looked at me and asked, “Will you be able to?” I made this question of his my motivation and completed this challenge given by Sir by becoming an IAS and gave him Guru Dakshina.

3 times straight IAS out of pre in fourth time
We asked three times you failed in pre, how did you motivate yourself? Divyanshu says, my motivation was my father. I had seen his struggle, he was one of the people who did not give up. He always used to say that IAS is the only job where something can be done for the society. I have not seen any video of any motivational speaker, nor have I gone to Mussoorie’s LBS. When he went, he went straight as an IAS.

Divyansh considers his father as his motivation.

Confused by an interview question
Divyanshu tells that my interview was in Bhosle sir’s board. When he saw my profile, he asked, did you choose English leaving Hindi only to become IAS? I answered yes. His next question was, do you think UPSC discriminates against Indian languages? I replied yes again and said, “According to the statistics, the selection rate is less in Indian languages. I didn’t want to cry on the road on the basis of statistics, so I worked hard and pushed myself where the selection rate was high.” And today I am giving interview.

  • When the result came, Divyanshu’s All India Rank came 205 and he directly became IAS. Trained in LBS and first posting as SDM in Barabanki.

Wife was at home and 250 people attacked
Divyanshu’s official residence was in the Ramsanehi Ghat tehsil complex of the district. There was a mosque there. In which 3 people lived. Whose activity was suspicious. Divyanshu orders their verification. Action started in March 2021. When the police reached there, the occupants fled away. On investigation, it was found that those who were living here belonged to Katihar district of Bihar. Later, when everyone ran away, the SDM stopped the movement of outsiders by getting the boundary of the mosque done.

On March 19, local miscreants attacked. About 250 people surrounded Divyanshu’s official residence and started throwing stones. Only the wife was inside the house. When Divyanshu got the information, he informed the senior officials and left for home. He was followed by a heavy police force. Controlled in some way. At that time a case was registered against 180 people. NSA was imposed against the main conspirators. That illegal structure was demolished on 17 May 2021. 9 cases related to this matter are pending in the court.

On this incident, Divyanshu says, “Many times while doing government work, such times come on which you have no control. The same happened in this incident of Barabanki. Action was taken against those who attacked.”

Journalist beaten up in Unnao, fed sweets the next day

After Barabanki, Divyanshu Patel was transferred to the post of CDO in Unnao. In July 2021, the election of the block chief was going on here. During its coverage, journalist Krishna Tiwari was beaten up by the CDO. The journalist had alleged that after slapping Divyanshu, BJP workers also thrashed him. This video became fiercely viral on social media. Divyanshu started getting angry.

The next day i.e. on July 12, Divyanshu called Krishna and fed him sweets. In the photo that surfaced, both were seen laughing. Later it was said that the matter was hushed up. Divyanshu now says about this incident, “Many times in the crowd you cannot recognize who is what, they were doing their work, I was mine, then something happened which should not have happened.”

Arrived as an election observer in the school where he studied
On May 12, Divyanshu tweeted a tweet on his Twitter handle with four photos. Wrote that the school in which he studied, played, passed his intermediate, reached the same Shyam Sundar Saraswati Inter College as an election observer. This moment was like going back in time. Divyanshu says, when he reached the school, he remembered all the things related to it. Went and sat on the bench where he used to sit during his 12th studies. Told fellow employees that I have studied in this school. I also met two teachers who had taught me.

  • Presently Divyanshu is working as Special Secretary in Food and Drug Administration Department. We asked him a question about the nervousness of the youth preparing for civil.

how to get motivation
We asked Divyanshu Patel, there is a lack of motivation among the youth preparing. Many times he gets nervous seeing the crowd, in response to this question he says, the crowd was there earlier also. still is. You have to set big goals. With a bigger goal, it is not a 100 meter race, it is a marathon. It is like a Test match where you play after making a strategy, where patience is necessary. Success comes only after this.

He further says, you cannot get motivated by watching someone’s video. Some things and events have such an impact on our lives that they inspire us to grow up. I saw my father how a person with full potential could be denied his rights due to the anomalies of the society. But he did not give up. Moved forward for his rights with full positive thinking and became professor of Sanskrit by giving interview.

Divyanshu finally says, if the youth wants, he can do everything. He just has to be dedicated towards his goal.
