Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at Kashi Vishwanath Dham.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Sunday amid the 5th phase of voting in UP. Here he addressed 20 thousand booth workers in the grounds of Sampurnanand Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya. They had reached here riding in a golf cart. Without naming Akhilesh Yadav, PM Modi made a big attack on him.
He said, ‘We all have seen the extent to which some people have stooped in the politics of India. I don’t like to criticize anyone personally nor do I want to criticize anyone. But when I was publicly wished for my death in Kashi, I really felt very happy, my heart felt very relaxed.
We felt that even my bitterest adversaries were seeing how much love the people of Kashi had for me. I came to know that till my death neither the people of Kashi will leave me nor I will stop serving them. If I go away while serving the devotees of Baba Vishwanath, what can be more happiness than this? What do those extreme familyists know that this living city is Banaras. This city opens the way to salvation. Banaras will now open the doors of freedom from poverty and crime for the country.

Actually, Prime Minister Modi had come to Varanasi in the month of December to inaugurate Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham. They stayed there for 2 days. Then SP President Akhilesh Yadav had said that the Prime Minister should stay there for two-three months, it is a good thing. That place is going to live. Stays there at the last moment, in Banaras….

Worshiped at Baba Vishwanath Dham
After addressing the booth workers, PM Modi reached Baba Dham from Godoliya Gate. Worshiped Baba Vishwanath in the sanctum sanctorum with Shodashopachar method. After 20 minutes, the Prime Minister came out of the Dham complex. During this, the police had to struggle hard to control the crowd gathered on both sides of the road. Seeing the PM’s convoy, people were pronouncing Har Har Mahadev and he too was moving forward with greetings. Archana Neeraj Pandey performed the worship of the Prime Minister.

SP government used to withdraw cases from terrorists
The Prime Minister said, ‘In Kashi, there used to be bomb blasts on the ghats, on the temples. The terrorists were fearless because the then socialist government was with them. The government was openly withdrawing the cases from the terrorists. But, was Kashi Kotwal going to walk before Baba Kalbhairav? Can a mafia, a terrorist ever stand in front of Trishul? Today everyone is at their place and the timeless Kashi is showing the direction to the country.
I have told the Red Fort this time that the benefits of public welfare schemes should reach 100% of the beneficiaries. When this happens, there will be no possibility of appeasement, no discrimination. BJP workers have a big role in this work’.

The Prime Minister said, ‘The party sent a worker like me to Banaras. I got Banaras and I remained from Banaras. The party has given the virtuous benefit of serving Kashi by sitting at the feet of Mahadev and Mother Ganga. Today we are missing the late Dom Raja Jagdish Chaudhary of Kashi. His affection was such that I used to be overwhelmed. Extreme family members cannot compete with us. The BJP organization is a party running on the strength of power and workers’.
Kashi was earlier handed over to the land mafia
The Prime Minister said that during the tenure of the earlier governments, Mahadev’s Kashi was being handed over to the land mafia and looted here. Idols were stolen from temples. Today, the timeless Kashi is giving direction to the country. Just a few days ago, the statue of Maa Annuparna has been re-established to bless Kashi. For us pilgrimage sites like Banaras, Ayodhya and Prayagraj are top priority. If there is development, then employment opportunities will be created. But, those who like mafiaism do not want to allow development.

BJP alliance won all seats in 2017
In the 2017 elections, six of the eight seats in Varanasi were won by the BJP and two by its alliance partners Apna Dal (S) and SubhaSP candidates. This time 7 out of 8 seats are contesting by BJP candidates, while one seat has been given to Apna Dal (S) of the alliance.
