Thiruvananthapuram: Metroman E Sreedharan on Thursday announced that he no longer wants to be a part of active politics. Stating that he learned a valuable lesson from the electoral defeat, the 90-year-old technocrat said he does not need to enter politics to serve the people.

Sreedharan apparently announced his decision to quit active politics, saying that he was initially unhappy with his defeat in the election, but then realized that even if he won, not a single MLA could do much for the people. Can.

He said, “I was never a politician and neither want to. I am 90 now and hence do not want to be in politics. I do not need to be a politician to serve the people which I am doing through three trusts.” I’ve been.”

Sreedharan also said that the BJP in Kerala needs to change its policy to do well in the elections.

“I was not a politician because I am a bureaucrat and even though I am not going to be active in politics, I can always serve people in other ways. I have three trusts and I have to work in it.” Sreedharan.

Meanwhile, Sreedharan’s opposition to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s Dream K-Rail project continues unabated as he attacked it again on Thursday.

Sreedharan told the media in his hometown Malappuram, “In one sentence, I would say that this K-Rail project is well-thought-out, badly planned and very badly conducted.”
