How Big Is IndiGo’s First Boeing 777 Aircraft? Here’s A Comparison With Airbus Planes

Indigo, India’s largest domestic airline recently inducted its first wide-body aircraft painted in the brand’s blue and white colours. A Boeing 777 aircraft leased from a Turkish airline landed in India ahead of its maiden flight on the Delhi-Istanbul route. The Boeing 777 aircraft has a total seating capacity of 400 passengers. IndiGo operates India-Turkey flights on the Delhi-Istanbul-Delhi route, under a codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines. The airline deployed its first wide-body aircraft on the route, using a Boeing 777 painted in Turkish airline livery.

However, for the first time the airline gets its own wide body aircraft in the form of a B777 with its white and blue livery. The aircraft is one of the largest globally since the Boeing 747 and Airbus A380 have been phased out of production. But how big is the Boeing 777 compared to other planes in IndiGo airline’s fleet? Recently, Indigo shared a picture on Twitter, highlighting the difference in size.

As can be seen in the picture shared on Twitter, the Boeing 777 has been compared with the Airbus A321neo, Airbus A320neo, Airbus A320 and ATR 72-600 aircraft. The picture reveals the size difference between the narrow body and wide body aircraft in the Indigo fleet. The airline said that these flights will benefit Indian students traveling to Europe for educational purposes.
