Housing scam: Vadodara court denies bail to municipal executive engineer Vadodara News – Times of India

Vadodara: District court on Wednesday rejected the bail of the executive engineer Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) involved in the affordable housing scam.
The court granted conditional bail to the co-accused computer operator.
executive engineer, Pramod Vasava, and computer operator Nishith Pithwa had filed their bail pleas last week claiming innocence.
Both claimed that the names of the allottees who were added later were not known to them and they did not get any financial or other benefit from them.
It was also argued that the case rests on documentary evidence which has already been collected by the investigating officer and hence he should be granted bail.
District government lawyers opposing their bail applications Anil Desai Argued, “The accused is the Executive Engineer of the Department of Affordable Housing, so it was his duty to monitor the affairs of the website and sign the final allotment list which was published at the time of draw. The investigation in the matter is also pending with the Police forensic science laboratory.” (FSL) report has not received the report.
Chief District Judge’s Court Mr Mengde Vasava’s application turned down and granted bail pithwa On a cash surety of Rs 15,000.
Pithwa has been asked to surrender his passport and not on leave Gujarat without the permission of the court.
