Indian Railways is all set to deal with the upcoming festive rush with Holi 2023. Railways have started 39 pairs of Holi special trains to deal with the influx of passengers during the festival. These festival-special trains operated by the Railways will provide connectivity between several states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and others. With trains on these routes, passengers from various cities such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Amritsar and others will be able to make use of the enhanced services.
It is noteworthy that Indian Railways operates these special trains during the festive season to deal with the increased number of passengers. Apart from this, Railways gives priority to the most congested routes like Delhi-Patna, Bengaluru-Patna, Pune-Patna, Mumbai-Patna and others. However, the services of Holi special trains are not limited to these routes only, other cities are also served with increased frequency of trains for ease of travel.

Holi special trains operated by Railways will run at 174 frequencies between various destinations to tackle the festive season rush. To ensure smooth services, Railways will ensure punctuality, cleanliness, safety and availability of various amenities like food and water in these special trains.
Passengers can get reservation in Holi special trains using IRCTC online website or mobile application along with Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters. It is important to note that special trains are operated along with regular express trains and mail express trains on various routes mentioned above.
