‘He sent a message and introduced himself’: Assam CM again says that he didn’t know Shah Rukh Khan

New Delhi: Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma once again said that he does not know Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and the actor sent him a message and introduced himself.

Addressing the media, the CM said, “I know film stars of my time. I didn’t know Shahrukh. He sent a message and introduced himself – ‘I am Shahrukh Khan. I want to talk to you’.” I didn’t have time then. So later at 2 o’clock we talked and I told him that there will be no disturbance in Assam (about the movie Pathan).

Biswa’s comments came a day after he revealed that King Khan called him at 2 am. He took to Twitter to say that Shah Rukh had called him expressing concern over an incident in Guwahati during a protest against Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Pathan. He said that he had assured them that the Assam government would maintain law and order.

He wrote, “Bollywood actor Mr. @iamsrk called me and we spoke at 2 am today. He expressed his concern about an incident in Guwahati during the screening of his film. I assured him that the state government would uphold the law.” It is our duty and order. We will inquire and ensure that no such untoward incident happens.”

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathan’ will hit the theaters on January 25. The much-awaited spy-thriller also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Directed by Siddharth Anand, ‘Pathan’ is produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
