A 32-year-old Canberra suspect appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday to face a range of charges including aggravated robbery and driving a stolen motor vehicle. Local media, citing court documents, reported that he had been denied bail.

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) said the man pointed a long-barreled gun at Kyrgios’ mother, Norella, and demanded the keys to the green Tesla.

“It’s been a rough last few days… haven’t slept much and been struggling a bit,” Kyrgios wrote on Instagram. “Appreciate all the support.”

In a statement on Thursday, ACT Police said they had seized a shotgun and two other firearms they believe were used in the incident.

“On Tuesday afternoon… police searched a home in Gilmore and recovered a shotgun believed to be the gun used during the robbery,” the statement said.
