Virat Kohli on Tuesday posted an interesting tweet about his lost phone, which triggered a flurry of comments on the social media platform.

batting star of india Virat Kohli put out a tweet on Tuesday inquiring about his new, unboxed phone. The post quickly went viral on social media and public figures and brands jumped into the conversation with their suggestions.

“Nothing is better than the sad feeling of losing your new phone without ever unboxing it. Has anyone seen it?” read the tweet.

The post has garnered over 2.9 million views, over 5400 retweets and over 97000 likes and users continue to flood the comments section.

Food delivery app Zomato posted in response to the tweet, “Feel free to order ice cream from sister-in-law’s phone, if it helps.”

A user tagged a phone manufacturer and asked Kohli to send a new phone to keep him away from stress before the start of the India-Australia Test series.

“Please send another phone. Don’t let him get stressed before the test match,” wrote the user.

Others wondered if it was a promotional tweet for a brand that they would be informed about later.

Meanwhile, the Indian team is sweating it out in the nets ahead of the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to be played in Nagpur from February 9.

Apart from Nagpur, Delhi, Dharamsala and Ahmedabad will also host Tests during the series.

meanwhile east India Head coach Ravi Shastri feels Kohli could prove to be a thorn in Australia’s side should he start the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on a positive note.

He said, ‘His (Kohli’s) record against Australia will motivate him. He will be charged and will want to start well. You should look at his first two innings. If he starts well, he will prove to be a thorn in the side for the Australian team. He would definitely like that to happen.

“Kohli averages less than 50 against Australia. Amazing record, which should really keep him going,” he added.
