Surat: Surat Cyber ​​Crime Police arrested a 21-year-old Haryana man who lured a 26-year-old youth from Olpad area of ​​Surat online with a fake profile of a girl and started extorting money from her. Unable to face the harassment, the youth ended his life on 31 October.
According to the police, the victim used to work as a computer operator in a private company. He hanged himself at his residence on 31 October, after which the Rander police have started investigation by registering a case of accidental death.
Meanwhile, his family members came to know that an unidentified girl had blackmailed the deceased and extorted Rs 20,000. He started demanding more and the deceased also told him that he had not given him any money to pay. When the harassment continued, he eventually took his own life, the police said.
After this the case was handed over to Cyber ​​Crime. A team of Cyber ​​Crime Police went to Haryana and arrested the accused Sadab Khan Saheb Jaan from his village Sirohi. Officials said the accused created fake Instagram accounts using female names and pictures to woo the youths. After they were trapped, he used to make obscene video calls and also recorded his acts through screen recording.
The police said that once he recorded the videos of the victims, he would start demanding money by threatening to post these obscene videos online. news network
