Haryana: Drones will now be used to keep an eye on illegal mining in Gurugram. The decision was taken at a review meeting of the Anti-Mining Task Force by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Gurugram.

Recently, the district administration has received complaints regarding illegal mining from Rithoj village in Gurugram, after which the administration has decided to use drones to keep an eye on illegal mining.

Yadav said, “With this initiative, where the district administration will get instant information about the mining area through drones, the mining areas will be surveyed every month with drone cameras, so that illegal mining does not take place in mining potential areas under any circumstances.” “

The DC said that wherever the mining department receives information about illegal mining and overloaded vehicles in the district, it takes immediate action and registers an FIR against those involved in illegal mining.

In the meeting, the mining department official said that since April last year, a fine of Rs 10.6 crore has been imposed on 43 vehicles involved in illegal mining activities in Gurugram.
